The Solfeggio Tonal Frequencies

The Solfeggio tones make up a scale of pure tonal notes. They began as the ancient musical tones Ut Re Mi Fa Sol La and were used by various spiritual and religious centres, including the early Christian denominations. There were hundreds of hymns used by the church employing the Solfeggio tones, but these disappeared from regular ceremonies in around 1050CE.

The intent of Solfeggio

Solfeggio notes are tuned differently to those we hear in everyday music. Ancient Gregorian hymns were sung for many years at Solfeggio frequencies to:

• Turn grief into joy
• Help to connect a person to their Source to bring forth miracles
• Repair DNA
• Connect with spiritual family
• Solve situations and self-expression
• Become more intuitive

They were sung with the intent and desire to experience these positive, joyful benefits and to connect with the spiritual being within.

These powerful musical tones can assist in keeping the energetic body’s channels open and unblocked, keeping the life force – known as the Prana or Chi – literally flowing freely through the chakra and meridian energy system.

Gregorian chants used the tones of Solfeggio to clear the energetic body and allow energy to move freely around the physical body so negative emotions can be more easily relaxed.

When sung in harmony, these frequencies have been found to have psycho-spiritual and physical healing benefits.  In particular, the third note – Mi – originated from the Latin phrase ‘Mi-ra gestorum’ that translates to ‘Miracle’.

Mi – which in today’s scale is close to middle C – is the miracle frequency and correlates with modern science in genetic biochemistry where they use this miracle tone to repair DNA – the genetic blueprint of life.

The modern musical scale

The modern musical scale, known as the ‘Just Intonation’ scale, is made up of the six musical tones being Ut (Do), Re (Re), Mi (Mi), Fa (Fa), Sol (So), LA (La), Ti (Ti), just as you hear it in the classic film The Sound of Music.

Over time, the sacred Solfeggio musical scale has been altered and added to. The original Solfeggio scale, which was used to achieve great spiritual states of consciousness, was declared lost by the Church who changed the tuning of these notes to a different Hertz frequency rate and added the extra ‘Ti’ note creating the modern scale used today.

Christian Church Masses were no longer using the Solfeggio scale hymns and they lost the value and empowerment they held for the people experiencing them.

By changing the original scale into the modern one – which uses tone and semi-tone steps – the Hertz rate became more dissonant and counter-productive in achieving the emotional and mental transformation Solfeggio music did.
